Hermite interpolation for the approximation of ordinary differential equations
Résumé
In this Note, we construct an implicit one-step scheme for the numerical solution of ordinary differential equations. Based on Hermite interpolation with polynomials of degree 3, the idea goes back to Obeshkov (1940) and Norsett (1974).
