An embedded system is a system confronted to limited capacity in signal processing, together with energetic constraints and in most cases harsh environments.

The ESE team, formally organized in 2012, is working on these two last features, by taking into account the environment from the point of view of energy :

Electromagnetic energy - compatibility and immunity (EMC)
Thermal energy – packaging, robustness, aging
Electrostatic energy – electrostatic discharges (ESD)
Ambient energy harvesting – towards wireless and battery free embedded systems

The ESE team takes advantage of the synergy between these aspects and operates within the Energy Management theme.
