Abstract
Can we distinguish the roles of demographic and temporal changes in the incidence and prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders? A systematic review by Bouziri H, Descatha A, Roquelaure Y, Dab W, Jean K Exposure to biomechanical, organizational and psychosocial factors changes over time, which implies that they have not necessarily been the same throughout a lifetime. To understand the occurrence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), it is necessary to disentangle the respective role of these changes and age. This review highlighted a scarcity of evidence regarding time trends in the burden of MSDs and their underlying causes.
